Zoey called us and said she would really like to have some autumn family pictures, but with so many little ones in attendance to try and have them cooperate for an entire session may be a bit much! She suggested a few quick poses but then had planned a few fall yard games for the entire family to play and wondered if we could just capture the evening.

She also made note that no one was going to know we were coming.  It will all be a surprise!

The session date nearly rolls around and we get a phone call from Zoey's boyfriend, Connor. (The only person who did know about the session!)   After a few times of playing phone tag, we finally catch one another to talk.  Can you imagine what he was calling about? "I am going to surprise Zoey and propose tomorrow during the session!"  Much excitement was shared and we wished him the best and told him we would be ready to capture the moment for them!

As we arrived to their session, we found a family-filled porch and a lawn with yard bowling, ring toss, bean bag toss, cookie decorating, and pumpkins hidden for the young ones to find.  They began to realize that their memories of the evening were soon to be captured.  But Zoey was still clueless to her surprise.

After a few family poses, Zoey gathered the family to the yard to play and the young ones were truly entertained with each event.  As the evening wrapped up,  Connor began to carve mini pumpkins for the children, and after nearly finishing the carving of the one he claimed some pieces had fallen within the pumpkin and his fingers couldn't quite reach them.  Who did he turn to for help? Zoey of course!  She dug around and pulled out the ring! Connor dropped to his knee and asked right there in front of his family if she would be his wife!  After a sarcastic, No! she said yes!!

We are super excited for Connor and Zoey and even more thrilled that we were part of a Double Surprise!
